Software Testing: Verification & Validation
As any seasoned Software Developer will tell you, untested software for mission critical functions is unacceptable. Some of Applied Sciences Group's systems level and software testing rigor comes from our staff's experience in the Department of Defense world where multi-million dollar pieces of equipment and, more importantly, soldiers' lives would be put at risk by a software failure. This rigorous testing, software verification and validation process also applies to modern medical device development and testing.
It comes down to design specification and requirements and performing a thorough risk assessment. When designing complex electronic products that have "command, control and communicate" elements within the device, then they need to be well-tested. ASG is often asked to be an independent software verification and validation resource to assure that the code that has been developed will reliably perform in the same manner, time after time.
